Symptoms
On some system when you run the installation program to install Content
Studio 4.0 build 1008 fails when installing a COM+
application.
Cause
This is due to an incompatibility with the COM+ part of the installation
program that can occur when the installation program tries to install the
"Content Studio Service Manager" COM+ application.
Resolution
This problem affects new installations only. You should exit the
installation program, reboot your server and run the installation using an older
version of the installation program. Build 1007 or build 1005 should work. After
installation you can run the installation program for build 1008 to upgrade your
installation.
Status
Teknikhuset has confirmed that this problem can occur on some systems
when doing a new installation of the product. Upgrading is not affected. We
expect this problem to be fixed in Content Studio version 4.0 build 1009
scheduled at the end of March 2005.
